Current Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors
For Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors and Registered Counselors it is required that you complete continuing education units/hours (CEU/CEH) for re-certification/renewal under the certifying agencies (CCAPP and CADTP) guidelines. The Los Angeles Training Institute for Alcohol and Drug Counseling is a CEU Provider for both these certifying agencies. We offer the 25 hour, 45 hour, 50 hour and 80 hour (AB) 2473 program. Courses are offered weekdays and weekends to fit your schedule!
In addition, we have a 10 week program for those who just want to know learn more about Substance Abuse.
The 10 Week Training Session classes consist of an array of topics, such as Law and Ethics, Women in Treatment: A Specialized Population, Counseling the Marijuana Dependency, Family Systems in AOD with Advanced Stages of Co-dependency, Education on HIV and Drug Use, Early Recovery Skills Group Counseling, Group and Individual Counseling with Relapse Prevention Techniques, Building an Effective Coalition, Seniors and Substance Abuse, Substance Abuse and Vocational Counseling Clinical Issues Relating to Integrating Vocational Services: Effective Referrals and Collaborating: Legal Issues.
Upon the successful completion of any of our CEU programs, you will receive a Certificate of Completion.
